How it’s catalogued
Catalogued the way preachers & church leaders think
By Scripture
Scripture references are indexed across works, sermons and episodes. Ask about Hebrews 4:9–11 and you find the commentary, the sermon and the conversation about it, not just pages that happen to say "Sabbath."
By person
Theologians, scholars and preachers are catalogued wherever they're discussed, so you can follow a name from its author's own writings to a podcast to last month's sermon.
By tradition
Works are tagged by the stream of Christian thought they come from, so you can study deeply within your own tradition, or deliberately step outside it.
By meaning
Ideas & meaning are indexed as well as words, so a question in plain language finds the passage that answers it, however it was phrased.
One church, many traditions
“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you…”
Preachly is non-denominational on purpose. The library brings together works and voices from across Christian traditions: ancient and modern, Protestant and Catholic, evangelical and mainline, liturgical and charismatic.
You can study deeply within your own tradition and listen carefully beyond it.
When you ask from a particular vantage point, Preachly stays there, and it tells you when it had to look wider.
The collection grows every week, and we're actively widening it. If there's a tradition, author or ministry you'd like to see, tell us.

-
The library is an index of publicly available theological writing (commentaries, journal articles, classic books and teaching resources), alongside sermons and podcasts that churches and ministries publish online.
Preachly catalogues them so they can be found by passage, person and tradition, attributes every quotation, and links back to the original.
-
It may be if you publish your sermons online. If it is, your sermon library might be one step away: start a free trial and we'll bring your church's sermons into your own private library. If it isn't, we can often add it for you to strengthen the impact of your ministry.
-
New sermons and podcast episodes are added every week. Additional scholarship & writing is indexed and catalogued on a monthly basis.
-
No library is. Preachly is a large and growing collection, not a census of the church. Some traditions are more deeply represented than others, and we're adding more. When coverage is thin for your question, Preachly tells you. We’d love your feedback.
